365 Sq. Ft. Cottage Ultimate Wedding Venue
January 14, 2018
Everyone has their own idea of the “perfect wedding.” Where will it be? How many people will attend? What’s on the menu? What will the attire be like? Themed weddings are even popular among many couples now a days. Whatever style you may have in mind, a large amount of couples are now going for simple, budget friendly, DIY weddings. California couple, Whitney and Adam decided to take on the simple approach, opting for a more intimate style by hosting the wedding in their adorable, tiny cottage. Steering away from hiring a coordinator or event planner, while also keeping budget in mind, they began their work 6 months in advance to plan the ultimate DIY wedding.
Whitney & Adam’s Gorgeous Cottage
Everything, including the ceremony and rehearsal dinner (they decided to go for a brunch instead), was held at the cottage. The reception was the only thing that took place elsewhere.
As far as decor went, they filled their usual glassware with market finds, making their own arrangements by visiting farmer’s markets to acquire flowers and branches. The only two elements professionals were hired for were the 26 ft long doorway garland and photo backdrop. Everything else was hand picked and arranged by the couple themselves.
A Look Inside the Home
The 1924 cottage, sizing in at 362 sq ft, is causing quite the stir among many individuals who are eager to get a better peek inside. Dubbed The Tiny Canal Cottage, the home is the perfect epitome of how bigger is not always better. The house is simple in terms of it’s decor with a lightly colored pallet, yet holds a ton of character along with perfectly utilized space. Whitney and Adam, along with their two rescue beagles, have been able to call this place home since 2011. It is available as a venue for shoots, commercial/editorial content creation and product styling. Visit their site, The Tiny Canal Cottage, for a more in-depth look at this gorgeous, tiny cottage!
